The Position

An exciting opportunity exists for a Postdoctoral Fellow within the Hicks Research Group. This position will be in all three areas of academic activity –Research, Education and Service. Some of the highlights of the role include:

Be part of an innovative project working on earth-abundant metal complexes for small molecule activation

Supervise, mentor and manage a diverse range of students in a vibrant research laboratory

Build your skills in main group/organometallic chemistry, small molecule activation, catalysis and X-ray diffraction

Work in a supportive, collegiate team environment

The Person

The successful candidate will have completed a PhD (or awarding of a PhD within six months of appointment commencement) in inorganic/organometallic chemistry or equivalent qualifications and experience in a related area. Proven ability to conduct high quality research, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Demonstrated experience related to research in some or all of the following areas: Main group chemistry, Organometallic chemistry, Air sensitive synthesis and experience in Schlenk line and glovebox use. Some level of experience in student supervision is desired but is not essential.
