The candidate to this position will work on on a challenging project in the fields of Plasmonics and nano-Optics.

The main aim will be the development of novel optical methods able to interface biological tissues and cells providing a deep insight in physico-chemical processes of biological interest, as well as the development of innovative plasmonic biosensors.

We offer a two-year post-doctoral position in Genoa with competitive annual remuneration depending on the experience of the candidate.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in theoretical calculations and modeling of plasmonic and photonic nanostructures.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in physics, engineering or related disciplines.

Previous experience in modeling platforms (e.g., COMSOL or Lumerical) is expected.

The postdoc researcher will be in charge of designing novel optical methods, mainly based on nano-plasmonics and, devoted to the manipulation of the electro-magnetic field at the nanoscales.
