The group “Molecular Physiology of Somatic Sensation” is seeking a scientist responsible for developing screening procedures and optimizing small molecules for target engagement to treat sensory disorders, including pain. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with experience in molecular neuroscience who is interested in developing skills in technology transfer and drug development.

Description:
Primary job duties include development and implementation of high throughput screening procedures , identifying hits and liaizing with the technology transfer department as well as the Lead Discovery Center, our cooperation partner in Dortmund.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a PhD in neurobiology or a related field by the start date and at least three years of research experience, which may include experience gained while a student. Candidate must be organized and meticulous in record keeping, have strong English verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability and willingness to collaborate with a variety of highly motivated researchers from various disciplines. Preferred qualifications include work experience in small animal studies in academia or industry, science communication and project management skills.
Initially limited until the end of the project (31.05.2020). Salary is according tot he German E 13 TVöD-Bund.
