　　The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, known as one of the pioneers in personalized cancer medicine, is an international leader in research and cancer treatment. The institute is the benefactor of $1 billion in philanthropic funds to overhaul early detection of lethal cancers and to recruit some of the world’s leading researchers. The Cancer Early Detection and Advanced Research (CEDAR) center within the Knight Cancer Institute as a result offers a unique opportunity for outstanding, driven and creative postdoctoral candidates to perform cutting edge and high-risk research ranging from understanding basic cancer biology to developing novel technologies to aid detection. To expedite the process of discovery, CEDAR offers generous internal funding mechanisms open to researchers at all stages of their career.

　　We are currently recruiting for a postdoctoral fellow with a strong background in microfluidics. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Sadik Esener other highly respected CEDAR scientists with diverse academic and industry backgrounds to develop major scientific project initiatives in the laboratory and aid in overseeing the implementation and execution of identified projects.

　　Where We Work

　　CEDAR is housed in the Knight Cancer Research Building, a seven-story, 320,000-square-foot building designed for collaboration. This state-of-the-art research facility features an open laboratory design and centralized, shared equipment and core facilities in order to bring together people from different scientific disciplines and accelerate research progress.

　　CEDAR Research

　　CEDAR has funded over 100 transdisciplinary research projects. Project team members not only receive guidance from experienced mentors and facilitators, but consult with working groups of OHSU clinicians and researchers to maximize their project’s relevance and impact.
