The School of Computer Science together with Center on Frontiers of Computing Studies of Peking University seeks candidates for faculty positions starting in September 1, 2025, or on a mutually agreed date thereafter. Appointment will be at all levels of tenure-track (Assistant/Associate Professor) and tenured (Associate/Full/Chair Professor) positions. Faculty duties include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, research, and supervision of student research. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in computer science and electrical/computer engineering or a related field by the start of employment. We will consider candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of computer science.

The Computer Science at Peking University was established in 1978, is known worldwide for our broad view of computer science and acting quickly to explore new interdisciplinary directions. The Center on Frontiers of Computing Studies is a university new initiative co-founded by Turing Award Winner Prof. John Hopcroft and Prof. Wen Gao in 2017. The faculty applicants selected for on-site/remote interviews will be invited to attend the Fifth Youth Forum on the Next Generation Computer Sciences hosted by the School of Computer Science of Peking University, Beijing, China from Dec. 7-8, 2024. This forum will serve as an exciting opportunity for young scholars to exchange academic ideas and the latest innovations in computing. Travel grants are available to support the selected faculty applicants to attend the forum, including round-trip air tickets and hotel accommodations during the forum.
